Warriors for Peace Africa is a peacebuilding organisation developing a new generation of African peacebuilders through training, mentorship and community-led action.
The challenge was to create an identity that could communicate the strength and courage required to build peace, while remaining human, hopeful and deeply connected to the people at the heart of the work.
Full of Hart developed the strategic foundation and visual identity around a simple belief: peace is not passive. It is something people choose, practise and build.
At the heart of the identity is the individual peacebuilder; the person who chooses to listen, lead, reconcile and create change.
The symbol brings this idea to life through a central figure surrounded by radiating forms, representing the influence of one person extending outward into relationships, communities and collective action. A woven structure speaks to interconnectedness, while the circular form creates a sense of movement, unity and continuity.
The identity needed to do more than represent an organisation. It needed to create a flexible visual language for a growing movement of peacebuilders, programmes and partnerships across Africa.
A considered colour palette, typographic system and suite of supporting graphic elements create a visual world that balances strength with warmth, structure with humanity, and credibility with optimism.
The resulting system gives Warriors for Peace Africa a distinctive and adaptable presence across its communications; from peacebuilding programmes and training materials to presentations, digital content and community-facing applications.
More than a symbol of peace, the identity reflects the belief that meaningful change begins with people, and that individual courage can become collective action.
